INTRAMUROS: the WALLED CITY of Manila

INTRAMUROS: the WALLED CITY of Manila

Fervor, I felt instinctive state of mind when I spent one hour sojourn in the former seat of government and political power of Manila which happened to be the Intramuros.

😊🖒👌❤

I went to Casa de Manila, museum that displays lifestyle during Spanish Era. Then I visited the famous Iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción de María de San Agustín most commonly known as San Agustin Church located nearby.

⛪⛪⛪⛪⛪👌👌👌👌

I also took the microscopic opportunity to capture some memories together with the Gates of Intramuros including Puerta de Banderas, Puerta de Sta. Lucia, Puerta de Postigo, Puerta del Parian, Puerta de Almacenes, Puerta de Isabel II and Puerta de Santo Domingo/Puerta de Aduana. But my most favorite gate is the Puerta Real also known as the Royal Gate.

But the highlight of my one-hour-journey is my visit in the oldest stone fortifications in Intramuros which happened to be the Baluarte de San Diego which was built by Jesuit Priest named Antonio Sedeño from 1586 down 'till 1587.

A guardia civil said that there are hundreds of people that visits the place every day. Beautified by heavenly designed garden. Amidst a landscape of lovely flowers and small trees, all of the homo sapiens (both Pinoys and foreigners) are walking with extravagant smiles while using their cameras. This bulwark has indeed stood the test of time. In the past, it is a fortifications withstood cannon fires, earthquake and crazy battles but today, it is a chest that will carry memories of colorful events preserved for the present 'till the future Juan dela Cruz.
