Miguelito's Got Talent

Miguelito's Got Talent

Captured during the Miguelito's Got Talent of Miguelitos International Corporation wherein I am presently working as a HR Training Specialist. That night I've done a MASHUP performance wherein I sung 10 different songs to the tune of The Lazy Song of Bruno Mars. Honestlt speaking, nag-mukha akong tanga. Hindi ko first time mag-tanghal. I even performed half of hundred of times, even hosted recitals, singing competitions and concerts with very huge crowd pero iba parin pala ang feeling kapag nag-perform ka sa harap ng presidente at mismong chief exective ng kumpanyang pinagta-trabahuan mo. Hehehe.

@ Venice Grand Canal

@ Venice Grand Canal

Since I missed the chance to visit Italy when I cancelled my supposedly first ever out of the country trip, I feel bad every time I see images of the said country in magazines and TV shows.

Until one day, my former college classmates (shout-out to Joshua Gio Sampayan and Mary Jane Haylar) invited me to go to Venice Grand Canal popularly known as Venice Piazza.

At first I thought it is a tourist spot located at the heart of McKinley Hill Garden Villas in Taguig City but the  fact is... Venice Grand Canal is a SHOPPING-MALL! WTF!

I even took the opportunity to visit my company's food carts located at the side of the mall’s man-made canal. Yes, I am presently working in a franchising company which happened to be Miguelitos International Corporation and I am a HR Training Specialist there. I visited the Miguelitos Burger and Miguelitos Ice Cream. Proud to be!

After a short chit-chat with the service crews that I hired a few months ago, I continued my expededition.

A few walk from my site, many people are happily watching the Venetian street performers with their colorful masks and unique movements.

I've also concluded that indeed, Venice Grand Canal is the selfie capital of Taguig City or even of the entire Philippines archipelago. Almost all of the people (both foreign and Pinoys) are holding  their cameras and capturing lot of moments. Even me and my two mates can't resist to take pictures. it feels like I'm in Italy.

Good thing,  there are lot of restaurants, fast foods and food carts there. We even played food hunting from Miguelitos Burger to Miguelitos Ice Cream to S&R New York Style Pizza and to Dairy Queen na obviously meron naman sa halos lahat ng mall pero iba parin yung feeling na sa Venice Grand Canal ka kumain. Kung may pera lang ako, baka mas marami pa dun nakain ko. By the way,
salamat Gio and Jane sa libreng foods. Hehehe.

The best gala. Buti hindi naging "DRAWING" ang lakad namin. Muli akong magbabalik sayo Venice Grand Canal. Tulad nga ng madalas na sabitin ni Son Gokou ng Dragon Ball," Hanggang sa muli. Paalam!".

DJ Nathan of 92.7 mHz WOW Smile Radio Sorsogon

DJ Nathan of 92.7 mHz WOW Smile Radio Sorsogon

Broadcasting and friendship ON-AIR: the secret recipe in bridging the gap between different ideologies (social and political). I once felt the warm of being belong when I was with WOW Smile Radio 92.7 mHz (Happiness ang Life), a radio station that invaded the airwave in the entire Sorsogon province same as Padaba FM. I even managed their satellite station situated at Brgy. Gadgaron, Matnog, Sorsogon wherein I covered lot of shooting incidents, cross-fires between NPAs and government, issues regarding LGU's and social events.

There, I learned how to become a professional news reporter. I experienced being outside during midnight at the middle of a very strong storm just to deliver important news to update the citizen of Sorsogon.

There, I collected tons of fans (kung meron man talaga. Whaha). The madlang people acknowledged me as DJ Nathan-the friendly neighborhood on the airwave (mala-Spideman huh? Hahaha. Lols.):-)

Time Travel

Travelled back in time: landed during Spanish colonial period and captured a moment with this guardia civil.  @ Intramuros: the Walled City of Manila.

@ Jardin de Dasmarinas

@ Jardin de Dasmarinas

I was fortunate enough to experience the services of Jardin de Dasmarinas.

Exceeded my expectations in every way. It was far my favorite resort in Luzon. The crystal water in their pools is so cold that can eliminate the extreme heat that the modern amosphere created. The dinasaur, giant shoe and the raining umbrella are cool! The staff are great. You can also cook your food there. Bonding moment na rin ang pag-i-ihaw ng masarap na tilapia at matatabang karne habang masayang nagkakantahan sa nirentahan karaoke. Oh diba? Pinoy na pinoy!

Sarap ng jamming namin ng mga Recruitment Officer ng Prudential Employment Agency Inc. from Talon Dos, Las Pinas,

INTRAMUROS: the WALLED CITY of Manila

INTRAMUROS: the WALLED CITY of Manila

Fervor, I felt instinctive state of mind when I spent one hour sojourn in the former seat of government and political power of Manila which happened to be the Intramuros.

😊🖒👌❤

I went to Casa de Manila, museum that displays lifestyle during Spanish Era. Then I visited the famous Iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción de María de San Agustín most commonly known as San Agustin Church located nearby.

⛪⛪⛪⛪⛪👌👌👌👌

I also took the microscopic opportunity to capture some memories together with the Gates of Intramuros including Puerta de Banderas, Puerta de Sta. Lucia, Puerta de Postigo, Puerta del Parian, Puerta de Almacenes, Puerta de Isabel II and Puerta de Santo Domingo/Puerta de Aduana. But my most favorite gate is the Puerta Real also known as the Royal Gate.
👦👦👦👦

But the highlight of my one-hour-journey is my visit in the oldest stone fortifications in Intramuros which happened to be the Baluarte de San Diego which was built by Jesuit Priest named Antonio Sedeño from 1586 down 'till 1587.

A guardia civil said that there are hundreds of people that visits the place every day. Beautified by heavenly designed garden. Amidst a landscape of lovely flowers and small trees, all of the homo sapiens (both Pinoys and foreigners) are walking with extravagant smiles while using their cameras. This bulwark has indeed stood the test of time. In the past, it is a fortifications withstood cannon fires, earthquake and crazy battles but today, it is a chest that will carry memories of colorful events preserved for the present 'till the future Juan dela Cruz.

ABOVE SEA LEVEL

ABOVE SEA LEVEL

Upscale or midscale seafood restaurant? I dunno. One thing is for sure, ABOVE SEA LEVEL is the best place to experience extraordinary squidfest! Indeed, ASL is the "Home of the Giant Butterfly Squid".

@ Mercado del Lago, C6 Road, Laguna Lake Highway, Lower Bicutan, Taguig.

Thanks sa libre Diane, Mary and Sarah.
